RASPBERRY PI ZERO: THE $5 COMPUTER
Not sure I agree with what makes life interesting, but, here's a quote stolen (stolen because I cannot find the site after closing its site, yesterday).
Hopeful this is helpful to those who want to pursue and needed info on which choice is best to be "interesting".Someone wrote:Update 11/28/2015: Earlier this week, RaspberryPi.org announced availability of the Raspberry Pi Zero. If you're considering a build like the one we take you through here on the following pages, you really should check this new model out. Broadcom chip, an SD card slot and micro USB ports. The only caveate is that it doesn't have an Ethernet port and anolog audio and video ports. However, since it has mini HDMI output, that audio/video IO is consolidated over a single cable and port. Great stuff!

That blurb is partly incorrect -- there is a pin header footprint (unpopulated space) for a composite output. They didn't have room for the jack, but if you solder it in there (or put down two pins and use a header) it's all good. No separate audio jack, though...
Here, this explains it all... I think...

I think I'll overclock the 900MHz to the Zero's 1GHz and use a heatsink for added cooling. Funny they came out with a $5 Uk built PC but can make a USB-hub for less than $40, I really like the looks of the Pihub-usb, but I don't think I would pay that much for one. Well depends if it bugs me enough, lol

When I ordered the Pi 2 on Amazon, I also ordered extra cables for the pi zero, Because I figure down the road I might get one, It was my first time ordering from Amazon, funny how its made, you order like 8 things in cart and then when you checkout you find out some is local and some you won't get until Jan 2016, Luckily the Pi 2 and keyboard was local, but the pi zero cables and android tv box should be here in Jan, lolharii4 wrote:Online it looks way bigger....lol

That is one of the failings with Amazon; they don't give the place of origin; it's only when clicking on the manufacturer's reference the address and country show up. Why not simply state where the consignment originates from using an international abbreviation - UK, USA, HK, PRC, etc?....funny how its made, you order like 8 things in cart and then when you checkout you find out some is local and some you won't get until Jan 2016.

Something that isn't explained well is running the 'raspi-config' command
even after booting

I highly recomment that you put the following in config.txt file
