What version of Fluxbox are you using? Its possible that feature was added in a later version than what I used... I think I was testing with 0.5 or 0.7
I just checked their site and see that 1.1 is now out. jeez, im outta the loop. lol

Mind hooking me up with the background. Thats a really nice one.
EpicWallpaper.com (I think), Popular category, somewhere in the first 50 pages; I didn't have the patience to scroll through the other 980+ pages. :P

Nice desktop WhoDo

I modified these drive icons a bit ago for a Japanese theme but never got round to using them.

Thanks, steve_s - I'm using the sand theme in icewm :D

myst
That's a nice one. Is it still available for Icewm?

(Edit; I've found it's an included theme in Turbo Extreme, but it's difficult to copy it over to anything else.)

you make it with drec (desktop recorder)? images are indeed remarkable but the sound n the video is unable to be understood especially at the beginning. viewed with opera10.64 in puppeeerc4 (flashplugin) and also the downloaded file from opera at /tmp then played/viewed in gnome player in q112.

Aarf you need to ask sneeky what he used.I think he like xvidcap.

The Blue Moon theme for macpup, stars pop in and fade out at random.

But when the mouse is on the moon the logo fades in and fades out when you move it off.

This one more or less came about by accident! I like it anyway, it's very seasonal as the weather gets warmer and the landscape more verdant here and I hope you will too (lots and lots of greens in this one).

It's running in Puppy Classic 2.14X but I daresay it would work in any Pup.

It comprises the Icewm window manager with the Smooth_Emerald theme, krka.jpg wallpaper, linen coloured text for the icons and the gkrellm system monitor with the IReX_gkrellm theme;

Thanks. It would be even nicer with transparent icons, such as Puppy 2.15 CE has (or had).

Here is my desktop on quirky 120:

I removed desktop icons (hate that clutter).
Taskbar -added shortcut to my favorite apps, "/mnt/", and console.
Conky -for monitoring cpu,ram,etc.
Transparent iconset from 2.15 CE.
JWM theme called "evil cyan glow" that was made for DSL.

(was viewing this machine with vnc when I took the pic)

Does anyone know how to remove the icons from the start menu categories (Fun, Multimedia, Internet, etc.)?

Also, any way to remove the "drives" icon on the desktop permanently? I turned off hotplug detection and desktop icons in the event manager but still I am stuck with this shortcut.

Yes, you need to edit /etc/xdg/templates/_root_.jwmrc menu template and then run "fixmenus" from a console.

Just delete it by moving to the trash or right-click>delete. The shortcut is for the drive mounter and that will still be accessible through Filesystem on the menu.

Hope that helps.

_root_.jwmrc only contains a way to remove the "shutdown" and "help" category icons but nothing else. Already edited those entries.

"drives" shortcut on desktop comes back after a reboot no matter how it is removed. :(

I am running a full HD install...if that makes a difference.

Look in /etc/xdg/menus for the rest.

Yes, it does. Try removing it from /root/Choices/PuppyPin, but my guess is it is being reinserted by one of the startup scripts; it's not /usr/sbin/delayedrun but could be /usr/bin/xwin or /root/.xinitrc or ... who knows. Not very helpful am I? It would be better if you asked your question in the main forum so the devs will see it. They seldom venture into bling-land, and this thread is too big to hijack! :P
