Savefile isn't working in debiandog

I'm putting the save file in my hard drive and I'm booting Debiandog from USB Thumb drive. It says it is saving all the new added information when I shut down but when I reboot nothing seems to be saved. Any Thoughts are welcome.

How are you booting? Porteus or debian?

Either way, post you questions in the debian dog thread where fred will see them.
