Hero of our time, whisleblower Edward Snowden received a standing ovation at the end of his talk to McGill students in a packed auditorium.

And I hope that next year I'll be able to see you in person," Snowden said to end his talk.

The crowd then erupted in cheers and gave him a standing ovation.

A CBC.ca report.

A pariah in the US; a hero of our time in other countries.
