Hacking the DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance)

Hi all..on the subject of DLNA, are there any modifications of a DLNA server program that allow using an ethernet connection to get a command line from the client device (like a bluray player) to appear on the server machine? In other words, I want to hack the player so as to get general filesystem access.
