Podcast recommendations?

#1 Post by stu91 »

I haven't been a big podcast user in the past, as such i tended just to download the few podcasts i listened to direct from their websites.
However i recently cam across Bash Podder http://lincgeek.org/bashpodder/ a tiny podcast downloader written in bash so i decided to make a Openbox menu for it - Now i am in need of interesting podcast feeds to add to it.
Kind of shows id be interested in:
Linux
Science
History
Tech
Space
Outdoors
Audio Books
Or anything you think might be worth listening to. :D

Some shows i have already added:
http://sixgun.org/linuxoutlaws/
http://www.astronomycast.com/
http://www.summahistorica.com/

cheers.

Their CDs are great too, just for the artwork. :) (I meant the CDs of the individual shows, but it looks like those are no longer available. Maybe I looked in the wrong place.)

Thanks Flash i will add it and check it out 8)

I found this podcast in my Opera bookmarks:

I can't recall ever listening to it so downloaded one show just to check it out - i guess some folks might be put off by the name / content but i found the music quite enjoyable.

Try BBC Radio 4 podcasts. Plenty to pick through there.

One of my favorites is:

http://www.podiobooks.com

for audio books. Look for listings of the most popular, the staff's favorites and the books which have won awards or have been considered for awards.
