First may i say a big thankyou to Barry ,John and all of the wonderful people who have made puppy possible.

I am quite new to linux and i have tried a number of distros but i always keep coming back to puppy for some reason.

My first outing was with 520 then 525 and now with 528 and have tried MINT,UBUNTU,VECTOR etc but the big distros seem to be harder to set up and use than the little puppy.

I have now moved over from the W system and have decided that linux is better despite the steep learning curve.

Puppy has its problems like all distros and the biggest i have found so far is
the pets that are missing dependencies and do not work ,and setting up wireless in 528. in 520 it works fine .

Like all who have moved from the w system i am paranoid about virus and security but i will get over it in time ,i have clam installed along with Ghost ,No script,wot,better privacy , .

My wish list for puppy would be a working OPENSHOT video editor and SHOTWELL pets with all dependencies .

Welcome to the kennels.
I have used 1.3 of Openshot - but am waiting for a 1.4 compile

To run Openshot you need

1. ATI, Nvidia or Intel graphics driver
2. Python
3. a more advanced window manager such as Xfce.
4. Blender 3D generator (optional)
