Just my 2 cents praising Puppy

#1 Post by lowrider »

First i want to say that English is not my native language but for some reasons i will try it anyway.
I use Linux in various forms for at least 10 or more years now and have ended now on Crunchbang (#!) so far.. But Puppy in general (big big thank you Berry K.) and Macpup and Rexbang in special really blow my mind. These little puppies are just what i am asking for. They (just like all puplets!) just let me do what i want to do, without annoying popups or asking for permissions and stuff like that... Just backing off your original save file and you are ready to go. You are root and if all of this playing goes terribly wrong, just restore the backup file and start over again! Ain't that not "Linux Heaven"? For me it is!
Again, please don't judge me for my horrible English...

dang fast computer :D
My main system is a dualcore athlon running at 2.7ghz with 2g of ram and 250g harddisk on witch i am running Crunchbang 10 (Statler). Unfortunatly my graphiccard goes crunch/bang :( , so i have to grab my old notebook out of the waste. Poor little thing runs with 1.4ghz and only 1g of ram and a 60g harddisk. I've just kick this useless M$ XP personal out, installed the grub and a handfull puppies in a frugal way. Feels just like pushing new life to a otherwise cold and dead body. ;-)
