Thanks for help,

How do i enable vdpau acceleration?
Hi, I am running puppy lucid and installed the driver from this thread :
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 20&t=61077
I am having vdpau working when playing video and can play a full-HD mp4 movie on a pc with atom 330 cpu and ION (1) gpu.
I haven't tried flash.

Hi jplt!
1) Just get the latest lucid from here:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=63251
2) I installed the full nvidia driver with all libs included:
http://dotpups.de/puppy4/dotpups/XServe ... 6.33.2.pet
Exit to prompt and type xorgwizard, and then xwin when back at prompt.
3) I recommend smplayer:
install:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... _qt-w5.pet
to fix menu-entry of smplayer:
right-click the file /usr/share/applications/smplayer.desktop and "open as text"
change the line with "Exec=..." to "Exec=smplayer". Save changes.
Start a console and type fixmenus.
4) start smplayer and in menu under "Options"->"Preferences"->"Video",
select "Output driver" as vdpau.
5) open a file from menu in smplayer OR drag file in smplayer OR right click file and "Set run action" to smplayer ...
(only x264/h264 coded video are gaining by this, I believe)
Hope this helps
