The version of Pwidgets in PPM and Quickpet is still v2.2.7 - they're up to 2.3.1 in the forum thread. I've been using it for a few months throughout my testing of Luci and in 5.1.1 without having encountered any problems.

Whoa. If you want. I mean it's only a 3 second thing to open the folder and make install. But it wouldn't add much to the pet. I've actually never seen a compiled Aqualung with the plugins already in except for on windows, even the original binaries don't have them although the factorial.hu site does point to where to get some.playdayz wrote:Should I combine with aqualung in PPM?Edit: To make the FX button in Aqualung actually do something: extract the attached, run make install on the folder contents and you get a bunch of plugins installed.

Sorry to be short of memory.shinobar wrote:Confirmed.
It is an issue of the firstrun.
If you select nl_BE@euro, the firstrun('Personalize Settings' or 'Countrywizard') offers UTF-8 as the default, but the nl_BE@euro.UTF-8 is not supported by libc nor Xlib.
Allowed locales:
* nl_BE
* nl_BE@euro
* nl_BE.UTF-8
Please tick off the 'UTF-8' checkbox if you want nl_BE@euro.
Though i recommend nl_BE.UTF-8.
I think you said this before.
Just a supplementary explanation. The @euro, has this to do with the euro sign?
If not, I hope I can stop my automatism to select the nl_BEe@euro

Network information.
When I click on the network icon, I get the window with the network info, but it is about 1 1/2 as high as the height of my screen.

What timing, I just added pwidgets 2.3.1 to PPM a couple of hours ago. It will show up in Lupu-516 Beta 2.The version of Pwidgets in PPM and Quickpet is still v2.2.7 - they're up to 2.3.1 in the forum thread. minimize, maximize and close in the title bar disappears when the window doesn't have the focus.
Maybe it is as designed, but I didn't see this before 515.

Hi Béèm,
I've never used the nl_BE@euro. Always simply nl_BE. No problems with the €.
But I think I remember you had a special reason for using the @euro locale.
Forgot what that was

Saw that too, but only in the Anchos openbox theme.Béèm wrote:minimize, maximize and close in the title bar disappears when the window doesn't have the focus.

Maybe because of its colour?

It's a characteristic of the Anchos theme for Openbox, the current default Window Manager. Other themes in the Openbox Configuration applet do have the icons shown on inactive windows. The nice thing about Openbox's theme config is that it shows you what the various themes will look like before you try them.Béèm wrote:minimize, maximize and close in the title bar disappears when the window doesn't have the focus.

I suggest that using a theme that does default to showing all of the furniture on inactive windows would be a more user-friendly choice.

luci 246
This info refers to luci 246 which uses the dillo browser.
I found that downloaded pages from the Murga Form were
displaying jaggedly, so I looked for a solution on the dillo
thread and I found it from forum member upnorth!!
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 4&start=30
(end of page)
I read on the dillo thread that putting the code line
into the style.css file solves the jagged font problem.
So I made a file /root/.dillo/style.css
(it may exist already). Here is the final result.
This did the trick. Now dillo displays downloaded Murga Forum
documents smoothly!!

Hi, please try this:
Boot from CD, Pfix=ram, or from frugal, Pfix=ram
Switch to JWM
go directly to JWM configuration / Desktop / Tray management / Virtual Desktops
specify a number of virtual desktops, e.g. 6
"New config corrupt"
Go back to JWM configuration / Desktop / JWM / Choose at first a JWM theme
Choose anything and restart JWM

Thanks. I'll try to think of something else you're already about to implement.playdayz wrote:What timing, I just added pwidgets 2.3.1 to PPM a couple of hours ago. Been testing Lupu 515 on Merlin. LiveCD with new Pupsave, initial bootup having been pfix=ram. Mainly working OK, had an odd thing with it seeming to forget resolution settings but it's stopped doing that after I unplugged and reconnected the monitor and the power feed to the graphics card. I'll keep an eye on it, could just have been a random oddity. Also had occasional muted sound shown on bootup but it then seems to put itself right.
Not tried it on Zhaan, the K6 machine, yet although I'll give it a shot as a LiveCD with those ttuuxxx versions of Abiword and Gnumeric.

As I never knew what the @euro stands for, I assumed it was for the Euro sign, so this why I chooses it.Bert wrote:Hi Béèm,

Good to know the nl_BE has no issue with the Euro sign. Using it now as advised by shinobar.

No offence, but I really can't see the point other than it being shiny new kit that's got fifteen minutes of media fame. I'd find fully-working Lupu 5.2 apps on my K6 2 500 machine or even Psion synchronisation more useful.bigpup wrote:We need this for the next release.

Indeed another theme don't show this behavior.
