Testing Luci-240

#1 Post by MattN »

Hi,

I started using Luci-240 yesterday after getting home from a trip and have noticed that when I change from one desktop to the second one -- that all the open windows on the first one are minimized and show up on the second desktop. It used to leave everything alone on the first and you could have totally different things on the second (and be able to switch back and forth between them). Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for testing, however, never start a new thread until you first check for existing threads. You would have found and posted to this thread.

Incidently, I don't have the problem you mention.

It sounds like you are describing windows not window managers. By default Puppy has two windows that can have different programs in them. You can switch on the lower left of the screen, to the right of the globe.

I guess I'm not to good at describing problems. I'll try again.

When you start Puppy the frist desktop is there and you start one or more programs. These are shown at the bottom line of the screen (I think it is the status line). If I switch desktops, the entries on the "status line: is copied to the second desktop screen and as I open programs on that screen they are added to the "status line". When I swich back to the first screen all of the opened programs are shown on that line. It used to not copy the status line between the desktops, and I am wondering if this is a bug or feature (I personally don't like it if it is a feature).

I hope I've made my question clearer.
