I know it may sound silly, but I was wondering what it would be like to have my computer sound like a typewriter. I was wondering if there was a way to make a simple bash script to tell the computer every time a key is pressed to play a wav file. I tried the key binding way, but that overrides the keys normal functions. I would still like to use the letters for letters, but additionally i was hoping to have a sound played each time a key is pressed. I know there are windows programs for this, but it seems not worth it to use wine for something so simple i figure bash could do it. I also know on Mac OS under universal access they have an option for key sounds, probably to alert those who cant see well that a key was pressed.
Please contribute anything you may know, I'm racking my brains on Google for something I thought was quite simple. Thanks !
