16 Places To Buy A Linux Laptop With Linux Preloaded

For over 20 years Dell has offered Linux-based workstations and laptops for businesses, engineers and scientists. A few years ago via Project Sputnik our portfolio expanded to include developer-targeted laptops and mobile workstations. These systems come with Ubuntu preloaded and are certified for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

With Canonical and Red Hat certification, Dell validation, and factory install options, you can be assured that your system just works.

Hi labbe

Interesting links!

My main laptop (see left) from Dell has a full install from Deepin. In my eyes is Deepin now the best Linux distro. Innovative, smart, efficient!

I have to accept, that my setxkbmap us intl is overwriten by certain commands (*1. But no problem: CRTL F2 and the console appears immediately and CURSOR UP CTRL F2 and the problem is away. This is the only one problem I know under the real Deepin environment, a beautiful and efficient environment.

(*1 same thing in other Linux distros if you install the input methods for Far East languages. I suppose it is the reason. Ok, those input methods are preinstalled in Deepin and I don't know if it would be possible to uninstall them... That is different as on American distros...

Really, any X86 based computer is going to run a Linux OS.
The days of not having the needed support software, for the hardware, is over.

Very, very, very new hardware has a little delay in getting hardware support software for Linux, but that is because Windows 10 is first to get supported.
Next the manufactures of hardware will work on Linux software.
However, that time lag is getting less and less.
Releasing hardware support software, for both OS's at same time, is getting to be common place.

I have built computers and they start out having no operating system (OS).
There is no reason to think because the computer comes with Linux OS it is made for Linux OS.
