Installing Openvpn on Xenialpup
I had problems downloading the files from ppm as it was very slow and seemed to freeze checking the deps. I downloaded the following debs from ubuntu xenial packages.

openvpn 2.3.10
libatm1
libpkcs11=helper

Install these debs then in /etc make the files

resolvconf ...

it should read put the link to /sbin/ip in /usr/sbin NOT /usr/bin

install openvpn package from puppy package manager

install update-resolv-conf (I extracted mine from a deb package I downloaded) stick it in /etc
make 2 files

resolv.head.conf
resolv.tail.conf

In these two enter your dns server addresses the format is
nameserver xxx.xxx.xx.xx

save them in ...

Hi I can connect to Mullvad pptp (pptp.Mullvad.net) with my username and password. The connection is made but I cannot get Firefox to use it. i have tried entering
ip route add default dev ppp0

in a terminal but no joy. What am I missing?

Did you do ...

Copy config file from /etc/privoxy to /root

open config file you just copied and alter 'enable web editor' option from 0 to 1 and resave file this allows you to alter settings in PRIVOXY using web browser


Make link in Startup folder to /usr/sbin/privoxy

i know this is an old thread but the directions given worked for me in Slacko 5.5
copy config to /root/config
amend enable edit option in config if wanted
make link in startup folder to privoxy executable from /usr/sbin/privoxy

Hi all,
just done full install of Precise and Slacko. If I try to check my broadband speed using http://broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk or speednet.com it only shows my speed as half that which is shown using Ubuntu 12.04. Is this a wifi fault or just a flash thing?

Tried it with both Barry's and Dougal's and tried it with card in place before booting and inserting it after boot. The card works in another pc . The card is not recognized and the initial network connection alert shows no connections. The freeze happens as soon as I use the network manager to set ...

Have tried it both ways. As soon as I try to set up the card everything freezes
