I've run into this problem in the past. I fixed it by redoing the boot process with Grub4Dos. That made it use the UUID of the thumbdrive to find everything. I ONLY use Grub4Dos anymore. Don't know if this will help, YMMV. Good luck. How did you it? Created the stick with the universal installer an...

Tested different usb ports and created a new usb stick (different hardware) - still the same problem. probepart_init shows that the usb stick is /dev/sdb1 any way to specify that path in the boot file? Last possibility is to buy an empty cd (after more than 10 years without...) and create a booting ...

I don't think you need a pet >> https://aws.amazon.com/developertools/739 Then again, s3cmd should be in PPM. This one, s3fs would require compiling. Download for aws >> https://github.com/timkay/aws/archive/master.zip Create a bucket >> Get started with Amazon Simple Storage service . == Hmm.. s3m...

hi oliver69, possibly it's because you need to specify a directory with 'psubdir' so puppy doesn't have to search.....eg kernel /precise561/vmlinuz psubdir=precise561 pmedia=usb pfix=ram Note: if you run grub4dos from the puppy menu>>system>>grub4dos , and point it at the usb, it should do this aut...

no i just use it as a standalone application. but the crypted file has always an jar extension - no matter what i selected under options. also drag and drop didn't work. It creates a jar file that contains the encrypted doc. That's the point. The recipient just clicks on it, enters the password, an...

portablepgp looks like the best at the moment, but no single jar file and it seems not to support drag and drop. truecrypt is not an option because i need single files and no containers. the reason behind is to have files from several clients on one usb stick which can run everywhere as long java is...

Looking for java based file crypt / decrypt
Hi,
i looking for an os independet crypt / decrypt tool - but can not find something on the net ,,,,
