arrow key weirdness

@Tazoc, In LHP64 5.14-B4 I seem to have lost use of cursor movement by the arrow keys, Left, Right and Up arrows do nothing. Down arrow acts like Enter. Also Del, Home, End, PageUp, PageDn do not work. Backspace is ok. Cursor positioning via the mouse works ok. What a pain to edit this post. EDIT: V...

BIOS panic

Yeah, I'm not at all sure about that limit or if it is something else unique to L64-5.13 Tazoc is looking into it. Did you have any luck with 5.12-B1? My thought was the BIOS can only see out and recognize a bootable partition starting at about half the drive, in my case about 62G of a 120G drive. 6...

panic in the kernel

@Jim1911, See Tazoc's post about 6 above this one. I had EXACTLY the same problem with save files you do, even coincidentally on sda7 (on a Dell Latitude D631 laptop). Moving all of LHP64 to a lower numbered ext4 partition made it work. Not sure about the BIOS limit, maybe it's a Dell thing? This is...

Dell wlan fixed

Miracle of miracles, LHP64 has the correct drivers for Dell laptop Broadcom wireless cards.
I have struggled for months with 5.03g getting only occasional wireless connectivity on various Dell laptops.
Bless you.

kernel panic

@Tazoc, I also had some kernel panic problems so this may be helpful. I frugal installed LHP64-5.13B2 to a clean ext4 partition, sda7. Booted from the CD, copied all the files as per usual install. Added a new grub entry. Saved the L64save.4fs file on the way out to sda7. On reboot, I got the Kernel...

I could not get Wine 1,3,14 working.

Dell laptop wireless

I am having intermittent problems connecting a variety of Dell laptops via wireless. These have Dell Wireless DW1490 pci cards in them. I can successfully connect maybe 1 time in 20. Frisbee tries hard but does not succeed. The network connection wizard does not work either, can't even see the wlan....

SOLVED: Wbar in Lighthouse 64

Tazoc and Billtoo,
You guys are the best.
Wbar is now working without the Cairo dock.
I installed the non-DEV pets.
Will experiment further.
Thx.

Foxit reader

The foxitreader 1.1.0 pet will not work with 64 bit Lighthouse.
Same problem with square block substitution for fonts that Jim1911 encountered with Thunderbird.

Wbar in Lighthouse 64

Hi Tazoc, I finally got a 64 bit machine to test out Lighthouse 64. As usual, everything works well, even in beta. What I really miss is the wbar from Lighthouse 5.03g. When I try to run it from terminal, I get missing shared library libImlib2.so.1 I can't seem to find a 64 bit version of this lib. ...

Pburn 3.3.0 burn failure

EDIT: in swapping removable CD drives around, I used a ROM drive which of course cannot burn a CD. This is what the error messages look like. ID 10 T. VirtualBox for LHP

@Tazoc, Thank you for the fast reply. Using gparted inside of the VM is pure genius. I will try forthwith. I already did the symlink once I found out I was filling up my LHP save file. If I can get this to work I will try to post the VDI somewhere public to further the advance of LHP onto everyone's...

VirtualBox for LHP

Question for anyone with VirtualBox experience. I've just started working with VirtualBox and have successfully installed virtual Windows 98, CentOS and DamnSmall Linux. I am using VirtualBox 4.0.2 included in LHP Mariner. Very cool on a fast machine with 2 GB RAM. Now I am trying to create a pre-ma...

MHT file extension

Yet another non standard goof ball format courtesy of MS. From what I read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MHTML IE 8 and 9 and Opera 9 and later can save into this format. Whether they can read an MHT saved by another browser is an open question. Opera 11 is available to download from the LHP Upd...

Mariner and Wine

@nooby: Yes, it sounds like you have the right ISO for Mariner and that it loads the SFS correctly when you boot up. So you should be able to find the IE programs you are looking for in Menu | Utility | Wine | Wine winetricks The tall stack of widgets on the left of the desktop is GKrellM which is a...
