jtimR2, Welcome to Puppy Linux! I really enjoy posts like yours because they show that not all problems affect all users. (Sometimes, when only problems are posted, the good times get missed.) I would appreciate it if you would post your 'HP utility' information on http://puppylinux.org/wikka/USBKey...

I hit 776GB last July (the last two weeks of the month), but traffic has been decreasing steadily since then. I have been fortunate that my provider has not limited my overages, nor have they charged me for them. For storage useage, I'm at roughly 4.5GB. My bandwidth usage consistantly exceeded 500G...

If Barry has access to goosee's DNS records, he can have all requests for goosee.com automatically forwarded (redirected) to puppylinux.com.

Puppy Linux Websites - Bandwidth issues

Hello everyone, As the popularity of Puppy Linux grows, I think we need to consider bandwidth/storage limits and a few alternatives. I am currently thinking about a few things that I may wish to propose at the Foundation's next monthly meeting. So that I have a better understanding of what everyone ...

What happens when Hacao is translated into Chinese? China is the number 2 Internet user and it has barely begun . . . Though I walk through the valley of death, I shall fear no evil... :D By the way, the hacao_devel version is also availble at puppyfiles: ftp://puppyfiles.us/pub/releases/vietnamese/

I'm not sure why some are having problems with the Cruzer Mini and PNY thumb drives. Maybe its a "luck of the draw" thing? To help anyone researching this on a deeper level, from Puppy 1.0.7, I pulled what I could from the Hardware Probe, fdisk and cfdisk. You can find my results in this t...

Nevermore,

I am very happy to hear that you got it! And thank you for posting the steps you took to do it.

TexasTurtle,

See if you can delete the partition table (write a new, empty one), then format it as Nevermore did. Let us know if that works for you too.

Nevermore & TexasTurtle, Time to get some baseline information... What system(s) are you trying to access your Cruzer thumb drives from? Brand, model, CPU, RAM, USB version (1.1 or 2.0) and is your USB port on the front panel or in the back if a desktop or integrated or PCMCIA card for laptops? ...

Just a quick update : My progress has temporarily stalled. The code that I'm hacking seems overly complex (more so than is probably really needed), and their programming style is very different than mine.
