Hi rufwoof! I still have some hope that an older version of FatDog, e.g. v701 can work on our newer toughbooks at least. I found the following documentation, which should allow me to do some tests: http://mistyrebootfiles.altervista.org/documents/TinyPXEServer/files/fatdog.htm I’ll keep you posted! ...

Hi rufwoof! Thanks so much for your reply! I’m a bit familiar with how to build PXE images since I have done so with Puppy Lupu v5.2.5. Anyway, later builds didn’t boot and I got various error messages like segment faults, etc. I checked the website of FatDog and it seems that the hardware requireme...

Anki on Lupu 5.2.5
Hi folks, I tried to run anki on lupu 5.2.5. Initially I had issues with sip resulting in "ImportError: No module named sip". I was able to fix this by installing the required packages. I'm now stuck with "ImportError: No module named PyQt4.QtCore". I took packages from ubuntu-lu...

Thanks for your quick reply and sorry for making myself not clear enough. True, the newest browser versions cannot be found in the official lupu repository but we don't need that. The repository is more than 10gb big with many browsers and different versions available. We are ok in this regard. The ...

pxe booting
Hi folks, I'm currently booting Lupu 5.2.5 in our school setup using a pxe server. I simply followed forum available manuals to create the bootable image. Works like a charm! I wish to switch to a higher version, e.g. Slacko 6.3.0. The included firefox browser appears to be more stable. The manuals ...
