@ linux28 I wonder if you have tried the following procedure. I have done it manually. (I don't use vivaldi on fossapup64, but use it on tahrpup. The performance of vivaldi on tahrpup is not good, though.) After exiting vivaldi, try executing the commands, and then start vivaldi. # /opt/vivaldi/upda...

Re: Chromium 80
@Rodney Byne If you would like to run it as root, the command would be; # chromium --no-sandbox (You will get a message about security, because Chrome/Chromium is usually not to be run as root, or administrator.) If you would like to run it as spot, the command would be; # run-as-spot chromium I hap...

Hello. A member of the Puppy Japanese Forum reports that, when ROX-Filer is used to show /proc, it stops responding. (The mouse cursor continues to rotate.) I have recongnized the same issue, too. There is nothing but to kill ROX-Filer, and it results in having no desktop icons. To fix it, X needs t...

Hello. gtk-3 and qt5 as dependencies are not shown any more. Thank you. I do not know the purpose of displaying Japanese characters, but the japanese font in version 9.0.1 is more suitable than the one in the previous version. As far as I am concerned, the Japanese font is useful, because it saves t...

Hello. I have noticed the following things: 1. It seems that a touchpad setting utility (e.g. flsynclient) is missing. 2. It looks as if gtk-3 was not included when I look in the PPM. Chrome starts fine, so in reality gtk-3 should be included. 3. It looks as if qt5 was not included when I look in th...

I installed EasyPup 2.2.14 onto my ThinkPad L440, and it is working fine. Thank you.
There is a thread (mostly in Japanese) on EasyPup in the Puppy Linux Japanese forum, where a Japanese language pack (.pet) is available.

Hello. I got interested in EasyPup and have been using it since version 2.2.7. I like it very much. Here are my observations: 1. The touchpad settings do not persist. I do not use the touchpad, and so I turn it off. But it is on when X restarts. (Solved) 2. Some settings of LibreOffice are not acces...

/usr/local/bin/pnscan
Hello.
/usr/local/bin/pnscan is identified as a malware by ClamAV.
Bionicpup64 also has /usr/bin/pnscan, so there are two of "pnscan."
I wonder what to do with the situation.

To sum up ... 1. T100TA is an exceptional 32-bit UEFI system. 2. The kernel included in Puppy may need re-compilation. 3. initrd.gz may need modification. (It is not known if the modification has been applied to that of Bionicpup64.) I wonder how antiX boots on the machine. Is it made possible by gr...
