All my three PCs are 32-bit - I would appreciate an updated Puppy for these - or have you stopped updating for 32-bit PCs

5.2.8 not working with gecko surfboard
sorry to say, but this latest puppy is the first since 4.3.1 which does not boot in gecko surfboard - stalls with kernel panic.....

Barry K, in his blog, was asking about mplayer and the edubook.
With the latest Wary everything works out of the box, i.e. sound, geany, seamonkey etc with the exception of mplayer.

I have a gecko-surfboard where the puppies are running well with the exception of the latest quirky.
Concerning sound I get woof-woof when booting from CD, but pmusic does not play mp3-files or streams and mplayer does not even open when the desktop icon is clicked. All these are ok with e.g. wary 0 ...

actually, when looking at a new distro, usually first thing is to check installing to usb-harddisk, since there is virtually unlimited space to play.
