Re: Portable Wine version 3.3_v2.1

Hi jrb,
It's interesting that version2013's wine-3.6_v3.1.pet. is so much smaller than earlier versions. I'm going to wait a while before working on another iteration of portable-wine and will, in the meantime, be curious about whether any functionality has changed.

versions 1.x and 2.x are gzip ...

Hi Phil and welcome back !

Tahrpup 6.0.6 32bit and eeePC.

Each time I log off, tahrpup turns on bluetooth. On following reboot, I always have to enter the bios configuration and manually reset it, since I never use any wireless device.

Tahrpup 6.0.6 does not share this strange behaviour with ...

@ watchdog, thanks for your quick reply.

As you stated, I can't actually access any file saved as standard palemoon when I run as spot.
Addictionally, I can't save any file outside spot folder.

Said that, it's always possible to see each folder tree of my system and read text files from 'spot ...

Thanks for helping watchdog.

I moved 'run-as-spot' to /usr/local/bin/defaultbrowser, as you suggested (brief explaination?)

When spot, I can't save/modify any file outside spot folder, as expected.

I can always open/read all my files regardless their location from 'open file' in palemoon though ...

Thank you, Watchdog.

I'm able to run palemoon by 'run-as-spot' [run-as-spot defaultbrowser].
Also, I moved the palemoon profile folder inside 'spot' folder. It seems to work, the terminal windows needs to be left open though.

However, I'm not sure about browser segregation, since I can still open ...

Hi.

I can't launch Palemoon with 'spot'. I get several error messages.
I have not problems with opera or iron.
Any clue/help?

Thanks

No offense to all involved here, but when a linux distro can't even provide an up to date stable browser, its really probably time to move on.

Tahrpup 32bit, eeePC atom n270 single core, Pale Moon last available version, nicely updated by its dedicated updater.
Standalone versions of the browser ...

Hi 666philb,
and thanks for updating tahrpup 32b
Sadly I wasnt able to fully try it since it wont recognize my encrypted save-file containing all my mods (testing release?)
I'll stay with the perfect working previous version then, waiting for the upcoming 6.0.6 complete release.

Hello,

I'm a happy tahrpup 6.0.5 32b user. How can I resize/shrink desktop icons, shortcuts, symlinks and drivers icons, for exemple from 48x48 pixels to 32x32 ?

Thanks

Hi, watchdog,
I just make a copy of the .2fs file. Eventually, I have two identical .2fs files (same md5), but with slightly different names.
The oddity is that when I switch in order to use the just created clone-file, it does not recko it, saying: 'Updating... layered-filesystem next boot will be ...

Hi, watchdog,
I just make a copy of the .2fs file.
.

I repeat: is the savefile in use when you copy it with another name? You should be sure all softwares are "quiet" when doing this and not writing to the savefile.

Obviously, I made a cold copy, when the ...

Definitively a bug.
firewallstate is not the firewall. It is a status daemon only, with access to multiple tray functions. .3 to .5% is hardly demanding on the cpu. Remove it with "quit & Remove". It starts up via the ~/Startup folder, so to prevent it from starting up at reboot, move its icon ...

It's not a JL thing, I report the same weird behaviour in my tahrpup 6.0.5 32b.
