I am also experiencing the same problem.
What is the network address of your wireless router? I presumed that it differs from the one you got from DHCP? You are getting the 169.254.X.X subnet. What is the contents of your /etc/resolv.conf?

Hi tempestuous, I still get the 169.254.X.X IP address. How do you connect to your wireless router manually? I mean, console-based configuration without using the wizard. Please include output of commands (iwlist, iwconfig & etc.) especially dhcpcd. Just for comparison. Maybe I'm missing something ...

I am using 2.17 (boot to usb) in a laptop with a broadcom wifi adapter. I installed latest dhcpd pet package & network wizard pet from this thread. Eth0 & eth1 were detected. eth1 is wireless.
