I haven't found it in ubuntu repositories yet. Maybe it will take some time to get there.
Yes. it has option to set cache size and directory.
I am not sure about the GPU acceleration. I see there is an option called "Use hardware acceleration when available". I guess the actual availability ...

Slimjet web browser
I've run into this Slimjet browser a few days ago. It is from the same company (FlashPeak) which made the SlimBoat browser. To clarify the difference, SlimBoat is based on the community-maintained webkit while Slimjet is based on Google's blink engine. As a matter of fact, most browser vendors have ...

Re: Slimboat
I just downloaded archpup-12.12.2 from this forum post: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=671851#671851 . Extract slimboat_i386.tar.xz (v1.1.20) together with the gstream libs listed on http://www.slimboat.com/en/dlpage.php . It runs fine for me.

Re: Slimboat
FlashPeak has just posted SlimBoat 1.1.20. Maybe you can try it out and see if it makes any difference.
By the way, where did you download this Arch Puppy? I might install it and try it out sometime.

By the way, on both precise pup and slackpup, I got slimboat to run with the 6 libgst libs without installing additional packages via PPM. You are right. libc.so.6 shouldn't be shipped since it's such a fundemental system lib. I will shoot a note to the developers and inform them of the issue. They ...

I guess that's why. LOL. I was curious enough to install slack and try it out myself. I got the same result when I used the additional libs downloaded from slimboat.com. Probably those libs are copied from an ubuntu distribution which is more compatible with precise puppy but doesn't go well with ...

I installed SlimBoat Web Browser in Precise puppy 5.4.3 and got it to run after putting together some additional supporting libraries.
However, I do get ssl certificate errors when I browse https sites. I don't get the same issue when I run it on ubuntu. Do you get the same problem?
