Update : when ?
Hi Idolse
I am still with former version 0.9.2. without problem.
When approximately do you plan a 0.9.4, if I can spare the effort of two upgrades, I would be glad to

No problem, You are right, I edited my post which was misleading : iPad connects to the ADSL Box / Wifi router and goes through LAN to the PC with mpd server. No strange transmission mode :D
Less devices active is better for SNR (theoritically, did not measure).

RPi vs mpdpup
Hi Idolse,
Thanks! That did the trick, I did not need to fill in volume2.
It is playing now. I will compare it to the raspberry pi I also use; will be interesting.........
Kind regards,
Keep us posted on that supersurfer; we dream that some day, maybe, Idolse will have some time to go for cheap ...

Problem with mpdpup - attached HDD
Hi Mark
Glad you joined and thanks for your opinion on mpdpup and AP-Linux. Maybe the two developpers should cooperate to develop a single branch still better  ( I have understood that Linux guys like to fork, dont Know if There is an antonym)
For your problem with directly attached HDD ...

SSD as a local cache
Hi all
I am not sure I fully understand the latest post. If I may wrap it up with my words
- is it possible with Mpdpup to use RAM as a local cache, feeding all music from the local or remote HDD to fast memory, as CMP does. If yes, how must the system be customized ?
- same question with an ...

Hi Idolse
After a little break with Windows and Puppy Slacko to confirm my WaveIO and Laptop were working, and following carefully your trouble shooting instructions, I got my mpdpup up as well as remote with mPod. The CLI clients are really not user friendly, its the least one can say.
