I agree with you.
But the script from stemsee has great potential for experimentation.
Debian Dog also experimental in nature.
In the sense that the system allows the user to develop it in any desired direction.

I need to add the icon to start the program 'xxkb' indicator of the current keyboard layout.
The icon should appear at the bottom right in 'Tray' somewhere around Frisbee.
