Do you have a line in the "Monitor" section like this:
#UseModes "Modes0" #monitor0usemodes
If so, you might try removing the initial # character.

If you don't have that line, try adding it to your "Monitor" section (without the initial # character).

Ok, I ran xorg video wizard to get the parameters added to xorg.conf.
Then ran xvidtune, set the parameters, clicked 'apply', then 'show', then exited out via the window 'X' button, instead of 'quit'.
Selected 'write',
Then this is what was added to xorg.conf:

Section "Modes"
Identifier "Modes0 ...

This problem is different for me.

When I change parameters with xvidtune, then 'write', I check the xorg.conf file, and it's completely blank.

AM I missing something?

Could someone post the manual code I need to enter, to get this to work?

I have the parameters, I just need the coding format for ...

Good work! Is their a way to make a visual list box, editable, like the kde menu editor? That way you could set the properties of each item and it's position in the menu.

That would be the best! :)

Kde style visual menu editor (kmenu) for puppy

Has anyone thought of making a kmenu type of editor for menu entries?

Would go a long way in making puppy more user friendly.
