If you have done several QT installs, chances are some parts are not agreeing with each other, version wise or how they were compiled.
QT is a monster - so its easy to get it to tie itself in a knot.

Ted Dog - I needed curl for the build. Honestly I haven't had time to check if the final binaries need it but it did show up when I "ldd"-ed it. (It may have something to do with online playing).

I didn't develop the software - I just compiled it. I can't say much for bloatware developers who build ...

Unfortunately I could not get any binaries from the torcs website to work for fatdog. I built from source -first the dependencies then plib 1.8.5 using this configure command

I got this binary (torcs-1.3.0-linux-glibc-2.3-pIII.bz2.run) from the torcs website and ran it with a chunky pupsave with lots of free space just to be safe ...

LMMS 0.4.13 in Fatdog has not been the dream I hoped for.
Up till now i was using a 0.4.9 LMMS I found somewhere in Fatdog 64 repositories -- possibly in the all in one audio sfs.
