pemasu it works ok now, I just didn't have the disk mounted, no auto-mount with exprimo for dvds, which is a good idea. Once I hit the Pmount thing and selected Optical, the movie disk played fine.
One other minor thing, and I admit I haven't read all 63 pages of this thread yet-clock doesn't ...

gnome mplayer crashes x
I upgraded from 10.1 to 10.2 a few days ago, until now I haven't tried to play any dvd in exprimo. Tonight I pop in a self-recorded movie dvd, try the gnome mplayer option from menu, it tried to load the menu but could not. The screen opened and blue or gray square alternately opened and closed ...

it DOES work!
Pemasu I was wrong> in this latest version, the gtk theme is holding between boots and open/closing of Firefox. Not sure why it appeared not to be so last night, perhaps I had just changed it and didn't close browser to test. Not so good to test software when exhasted, lol. Sorry to put you through ...

latest iso
Lol. Testing is fun. :D
LOL, testing sometimes is fun, but running the thing is even better!
Uptime about 23 hrs now on the newest version, no snags so far. Printer config ok, HP1200 Laserjet. After installing to 4gb USB, getting the flashplayer and java working, this exprimo is very nice ...

gtk theme changer
Thanks pemasu, your work is appreciated. I have tried many of the pups, but I think this Exprimo is going to be with me awhile, I just like the way it works. Until now, Macpup has always been my favorite puppy, because of the 'eye-candy' of e17 I think. That, and it just works! Exprimo is just ...

gtk theme for firefox
I try to get the GTK themechanger thing to work but it never seems to save the changes. Firefox continues to have the dark gray "23oz" theme whenever I open it, after a reboot. I like to change to aurora but it never remembers it after a shutdown. Am I trying to change it in the wrong place? Thanks

testing 5.3.2-7
Just d/l and burned Slacko 5.3.27 so far , so good, haven't tried everything since its after midnight and my eyes tired. Flash-installer worked perfectly for me, system booted up connected to internet, wired ethernet. Just found that even though I booted pfix=ram, my stored save-file was found and ...

fonts
Thanks pemasu, I'll try the fonts you suggested. You answered my question about which to use, I think I'll stick with the 5.13version awhile, that nouveau driver doesn't work well for this old card-I've tried it in aptosid and slackware, my regular-installed distros, and it draaagggssss everything ...

another newbie
Hello , have been using exprimo for 2days, started with the 5.3.2.9 iso, but then discovered the 5x13-6 smp version, so am now trying it. Not sure which version is best for my computer, any opinions appreciated. I will attempt to attach this 'report-video' info in case it would be of help to ...

mis-placed
Thank you Jasper, seems I made a rookie mistake. Thought I was posting in the exprimo thread! Perhaps someone with mod authority will move it for me.
Thanks for the FF tip, I had already tried that though. Fonts looked better as they were, just too small lol. Maybe I need better glasses.

Hello, just registered, and my first comments on Exprimo. I liked this puppy right away, but messed up my install , had to start again. I am familiar with MacPup, since their vers 5.20 , and love the E17 wm.
