Slacko 5.3.3 WI-FI
Been a big fan of Puppy Linux for many years, having a bootable USB stick in your pocket in the IT game is a very handy thing. When I got a new work laptop (ooooooh!) my Puppy stick broke due to drivers and time for an upgrade. Oh work laptop is a Dell E5420, nothing special but not bad either ...

I have an Asus motherboard which consists of a Dual Atom & ION chipset. Getting any form of Linux to work properly with it has been a complete nightmare!
Most 'Buntu based stuff freezes up after a while and it has spent most of its life with a Puppy disk in its CD drive (a ecco ...

Dell Latitude with DW1530 Wireless-N
I thought I had better test my Rescue USB stick out on my new corporate laptop ... Slacko did not even recognise the Broadcom NetXtreme 57XX LAN card let alone the DW1530 Wireless-N card. Its Dell Latitude 5420.

OK Big Pup was correct the upgrade process was slick and sweet, just copied the three main files from the new ISO and rebooted! One issue wireless no longer works :-( better head off to the 5.3.7 testing thread.
As for shutting down, still just reboots and does not shut down, I built a Slacko 5.3.7 ...

Lucid, Racy or Slacko, what's the difference?
Been totally immersed in Puppies for a little while now and been to all the sites and read all I can but there are still a couple of things where i am confused.
Does Slacko relace Lucid? Is it for a different purpose? I get Racy is for newer hardware and is still "buntu" under the hood and Slacko ...
