I know that Puppy runs in RAM, but we usually have it installed on a USB.
But how much read / write does the USB actually get? I dual boot with Ubuntu on my HD and a mini USB always plugged in with LxPup. I was just wondering if I could install Ubuntu on the USB, would I damage the USB from Ubuntu ...

Question 1: you can find the Conky configuration file in /root/.config/conky (note the hidden .config directory) - you could try changing the width= parameters in bargraph.lua
Question 2: not sure if you want to completely remove things so as to make the .sfs smaller or just to hide ...

Just saw your post in the morning and was happy to see a new version out . So far everything is working. Abiword / Gnumeric, Firefox, tested the GIMP SFS. I took a screenshot of VLC, tested with some Flash videos and MP4 I had.

Yes, LX 13.01 is non-PAE. I too suffer from the non-PAE blues. I understand the Full size distros going non-PAE, but I find it weird that many of the newest Puppies made are PAE only.
Did you try LX 13.01, the current stable version? It is a little bit newer kernel and applications thant LX 12.12 ...
