Had to d/l their LAMP stack to get it all happening.

I have no ADSL or PSTN line these days. My only phone was Mobile, and my internet is 3G, and after extensive research, decided to go with my ISP's VOIP service, as to me, it seemed the only way to get what I wanted ...

To get SMS on computer, your ISP has to be happy to support it.
It is not the same as using a phone, even 'tho they use the same system.
Your 3G data plan is just that, data. Your phone is phone and data.
To get SMS on computer, your ISP has to allocate an additional 'phone number' for the SMS ...

The last 2 Data Travellers I have bought off Ebay have been copies.
They work OK, but write speeds are very slow.
Bought from different sellers, they both have a little silver oval sticker on them, which is not shown in the pic that the sellers display.
The stickers have 2 letters on them, probably ...

It seems that the problem is a command not recognised.

I can't give you an output from pgprs as I don't have it set up.
I normally use the 3G dongle plugged into one of the 4 Eth or Wireless routers.
I only put it in the computer to test Frisbee for you.

If everyone used a router there ...

It is great to see Puppy network connectivity starting to catch up with other distros.

I uninstalled Frisbee and tried your latest.
Eth and WLAN work fine, 3G fails to connect with an exit status 8. I don't have ADSL.

Good to see that authorisation is now optional in this.
