Savefile isn't working in debiandog

I'm putting the save file in my hard drive and I'm booting Debiandog from USB Thumb drive. It says it is saving all the new added information when I shut down but when I reboot nothing seems to be saved. Any Thoughts are welcome.

I don't have pupclockset--my choices are psync time server sync, set date and time, set hardware clock type, set timezone. I've tried multiple ways and I reboot to a 24 hour clock

I'm not able to make comments in my internet Local news pape

My digital copy of my local newspaper has the ability to interact in a comment area for each article. I'm unable to in Sea monkey, the hypertext "comment" word to left click on to comment with, doesn't even show. Any thought to resolve this would be appreciated

Does puppy install cds ask for the install partition or not, I was told some linux systems do and then you have to do a special partition in gparted.

Puppy won't save connection settings at shutdown

When I shut down puppy it won't save the INTERNET startup information .I go through the whole process and when it says that it is saving this information . The computer clicks and it says something like the computer is no longer running. It is still running but the save process seems to be shut down...
