gtk-youtube-viewer not working for me in tahrpup. Nor is Smtube. Suspect this is down to change to api v3(?) by Youtube? Any workaround possible in these two installed packages?, or is it a question of waiting for updated packages to appear? Thanks.

Sorry for delay. Yes, your "plughw" mod works for me 8) I tested and now have it set to 4.0
At first, I couldn't get DeaDbeeF to play, no matter what output plugin I suggested but as soon as I closed Firefox which I had opened to test on flash (which worked just fine) DeaDbeeF played fine ...

Yep, I agree. Given that alsa remains the default framework for sound in puppy and given that many people have low vol issues with alsa, it would appear that a pavucontrol clone for alsa would be the best option ...

Yes, can confirm pavucontrol works and certainly indicates that 150% is possible. Would you happen to know why pavucontrol doesn't register the stream from Firefox flash (e.g. Youtube) This is really my main gripe as, most available audio players have some means of increasing volume ...

This is SMPlayer and SMTube for Fatdog64-700. They require mplayer-static from the Fatdog repository. libQtScript is the only Qt4 library needed by SMPlayer that is not already installed in Fatdog. That can be found in this same directory as SMPlayer.
