Found solution that is shown in attachment.

Lost devx_sfs files and had to reload to get Geany to execute. Now it executes but the execution screen flashes instead of staying open. I had this problem before when i first started using Geany but cannot remember the fix.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Downloaded devx_500.sfs files and put on boot manager and Geany is compiling again.

Yes i checked and the devx_500.sfs files are gone. I had downloaded them a couple of years ago. We had a power outage here the other night and think that may have something to do with their disappearance. I can not remember how I downloaded them last time. I know i did it on terminal but can not ...

tray manager in terminal did nothing although the icon popped up in the tray but still does nothing. I think i am putting the wrong name in exec maybe.

I do click on add to tray and it does add it but does nothing when clicked on.

My backup tray is empty and there are no icons on the taskbar. I have tried many times to load an icon. The icon will appear on the taskbar, for example-- mini-icons/mini-desktop.xpm, but does nothing when clicked on.

Whenever i attempt to execute a program in Geany the terminal screen flashes temporarily. I am no expert by any means so please keep it simple if you have any ideas.
