Are you using X.org? Try exiting to command prompt (either from Menu => Shutdown => Exit to prompt or with Ctrl + Alt + Backspace ) and running xorgwizard from there.
I had similar problem because Puppy didn't create Xorg configuration file on auto-probing hardware and xorgwizard will create xorg ...

The data is sliced in a number of chunks and then sent to several servers, that might be on different continents. The person owning those servers son't be able to recover data ...

A little up for this thread, that may or may not be useful: see my thoughts on ways how anyone can host big files (up to 1GB) absolutely free for (presumably) unlimited period of time.

Why not just edit existing boot.ini?
Actually, there is no reference in MBR to boot.ini. MBR executes ntldr — NT Loader which reads boot.ini, so you need to edit ntldr (I don't even nearly know how this can be possible). You might want to see this.

Questions about the Puppy Community structure
Good day. I'm here for a while and have couple questions:
Who is coordinating Puppy project at the moment? Or Puppy is self-coordinating?
Are there any time-plan for development? Some version control ( git )?
How new features are selected in new releases? Does official Puppy distribution ...

we can use p2p... however we end up at the same situation, at least 1 computer (Server) somewhere that is hosting the files 24h a day. Becuase what if someone wants to download the files but there are no seeders. While I think using P2P is a good idea for new offical releases... its perhaps not the ...

Yes, FTP is really good, but we can't rely on them all the time, as you sad, Q5sys .
My dream is PuppyTracker or something like this. Actually, there are open trackers like PublicBT , OpenBitTorrent … Official Puppy even uploaded on LinuxTracker and TuxDistro . Why can't we use p2p?
P.S. Great job ...

Pup in the air
Good day, sirs and madams.
Not a long time ago I looked into Turbopup thread and saw that people weren't able to download this (gorgeous) distro. It was (and now again) hosting on SendSpace — great service for file exchange with friends… who will download something only a couple of times and then ...
