GetFlash
Working good here. Only thing I see is that GetFlash 1.71 fetches the 64 bit version of flashplayer and fails to install it. Need the 32 bit anyway. Probably a script change in getflash or the conf would fix it. Not that savvy, but I manage to avoid using Windows. Great job on this version. Brother ...

Fixed! In my getflash-conf I changed the following: VERSION_URL='adobe.com/software/flash/about/' changed to VERSION_URL='get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/' and for good measure also changed these lines: DOWNLOAD_URL_32='fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/FLASH_VERSION/flash_player_npapi_linux....

I compared my getflash-conf in my 14.03 installation with the one in my 14.10 install and they are exactly the same. The only thing I have done lately is update Firefox to version 58.0.2 in both of my installs. So what I am doing for now is just grabbing the libflashplayer.so from my 14.10 install (...

Strange, I also have LxPup based on Slackware 14.10 on my system. I have GetFlash 1.7 on that installation, and it works perfectly. So I went to my 14.03 installation and removed GetFlash 1.71 and reinstalled v1.7, and it still does not work. 1.71 had been working in my 14.03 installation and just s...

GetFlash broken again
Just noticed that GetFlash has stopped working again. I have progressively installed each available new version as needed on my system, Slacko 14.03. I'm not smart enough to fix it, but thanks in advance to those who are! Meanwhile I can still update it manually via PET files or by getting the lates...

Did you ever have problems with libraries being compiled with the wrong GlibC , or wrong options? Not so far. Most of my libs that i have stashed so far are from 528, 571, and Slacko. Some from PCLOS as well. I have experienced a pretty good rate of interoperability when grabbing a lib here or ther...

Make yourself a lib stash! Avoid many headaches later!
Just an idea to pass along. A lot of you are probably already doing this, but here it is just in case someone hasn't thought of it yet: I run, and have ran many many different versions of Puppy over the last decade. I am constantly adding software from repos, from scratch, even ripping them directly...

Thanks everybody for the additional compilations of pets and sfs of this. I used Kingsoft quite a bit in Windows. Now that I am 99 percent Linux user, I was most happy to see it available for Linux. One of the few reasons I used to fire up XP in Virtualbox was to use Kingsoft; now I can use it from ...

KingSoft Office
Just got the latest Kingsoft Office .deb file and it is working great! One small download issue: 1: I tried to save the .deb file 3 times and the download failed, however when I let petget install it, I was able to retrieve the .deb file from my /tmp folder (make sure you copy it out of there before...

Hi, Sorry you are having issues with ISpup. I honestly have no idea what is wrong. I abandoned ISpup quite some time ago to work on my new puplet, Diamond, which can also be found in the derivatives section. If there was anything particular you liked about ISpup, please let me know, and maybe you co...
