Re: This may be of interest for Firefox, SeaMonkey, and ...
I may be missing something but I don't see how the article explains why Mozilla is using full-next-numbers for what appear to be nothing more than maintenance releases, i.e. bug fixes and security updates.

Well, it should go without saying that when presented an option between light or heavy encryption, you should choose the heavy. "go without saying"?! I came across this post just last week by accident. Thankfully, still before anyone had access to my "light encryption" save file...

Dial-Up Apps in Legacy OS
Hi, Sorry if I'm too late but I wanted to note my experience with dial-up when briefly trying Legacy OS several months ago. As I recall, there were at least three separate dial-up apps included but not one of them worked for me. I don't recall the exact details now but I wonder whether you've consid...

User Agent Switcher Empty!
Lucid Puppy 5.2.5
In both Firefox 4.0.1 as well SeaMonkey 2.0.14, the add-on "User Agent Switcher" is missing all of the pre-configured user agents!
Any idea what's going on here?

To put it simply no Puppy does not include utlities that can do what bleachbit is designed to do. Thank you for clarifying that. Does Puppy automatically clear at least some of the saved logs and cache when they reach a certain size? (This is just an honest and innocent inquiry; I do not mean to im...

I appreciate your efforts BleachBit and it's good to know BleachBit is available for Puppy but I was asking if there was anything already included in Puppy that did at least some of what BleachBit does. @ DPUP5520 each time I run the application it informs me that I am running out of RAM, Are you ch...

Re: Dial-Up Modem Update
I don't know what happened because this modem [3Com 3CXM556 PCMCIA] did work in Puppy 4.3.1 ( And likely in Lucid Puppy 5.0.1 as well, though I don't recall the latter for certain). I have now tried Lucid Puppy 5.2.5 and found that it also will not detect this modem. I then went and tried Lucid 5.0...

Thank you so much CatDude for going to the trouble of testing that for me. Strangely, I had no problem installing these add-ons from a different computer ( 2 GB RAM, running the same Wary Puppy 5.1.1, also live from CD). I saved that session onto a USB flash drive. When I went back to the first comp...

Agreed- Should Ask
I just booted Wary Puppy 5.1.1 using a saved session file for the first time and, much to my chagrin, discovered this automatic saving of the session. Is there a reason it can't ask whether you'd like to save the session, the way it does when no saved session file was invoked at boot-up? (By default...

Dial-Up Modem Update
1.) A Long Overdue Update to My Above Post: I bought the USR 5637 USB modem and it has been detected by and worked in Puppy as well as each of the several other distros I have tried with it. 2.) Unfortunately, however, the 3Com 3CXM556 PCMCIA modem I described in my previous post (fully hardware-bas...

Addons Won't Install to SeaMonkey in Wary Puppy 5.1.1
Hello everyone, I'm running Wary Puppy 5.1.1 live and am unable to actually install the Mozilla add-ons AdBlock Plus and NoScript . It downloads them but then when I try to restart SeaMonkey to actually complete the installation, SeaMonkey closes but never restarts. Then, when I manually re-open Sea...
