UnrealTournament für Puppy Linux
Well, it took some time to figure out, how to build a stable version. But this one works on my computer. One drawback: sound might be an issue on some computers. On my standard-computer, sound works out of the box. No complains. On my wife's computer, sound doesn't work. I tried many things using ...

Unreal Tournament 2004
What we played most is Unreal Tournament. Of course, not the 2004 edition but the original one from 1999. But for that version I did not yet figure out how to run it natively under Linux 64 bit (for 32 bit this might it be possible and I am working on it). At first we have to be satisfied with the ...

Serious Sam, the second encounter
I recently found my CDs of Serious Sam: one of my games, we played very often in a group. Unfortunately it cannot be run on modern computers under Windows10. Well, Croteam released the source code of the game some years before. Sebastien Turban (PtitSeb) reworked the code, so that it can be compiled ...

Java 1.8.241
I intended to use a java program but Java from the quickpet is very old and might lead to problems. I built a package of the latest java version (1.8.241). To start a java program, one could use a right click on the jar-file or the java-starter I fould elsewhere in the WEB.

Microsoft on a Linux Computer ?
Yes, indeed, it is possible. I recently stumbled over Microsoft teams for Linux. I could not resist to build a package from it. It really seams to work. Means, all the benefit you know from business work with Microsoft teams could be used for private activities. I am still trying out the limits.

Redneck Rampage for Linux
Hello
Do you remember the time when Redneck Rampage was one of our favourite games ?
I recently found an attempt on Github to bring back Redneck Rampage based on eDuke. Well, it took some time to compile and generate a package for it (Bionic64).
Here it is.

Hello
At the weekend I discovered a new version of FreeCAD 0.19 which was built with qt5 (FreeCAD_0.19.16207_Conda_Py3Qt5_glibc2.12-x86_64). It weights 279 MB.
I could not resist and investigated if the large size of this appimage could be reduced.

Hi PeteAir
What exactly do you mean by "failed" ? Driver doesn't support 32 bit programs or doesn't start in xwindows and needs xorgwizard ?
Nvidia settings reorganized xorg.conf ? Anyway, you can use the backup-xorg.conf to restore the previous configuration.

Nvidia driver
Hello
Something to add here...
For my old HTPC I generated a SFS-file for the Nvidia driver 340.107 and Bionic64. Different to other files is a script driven modification of the xorg.conf. That means you simply need to install the SFS-file. It then asks you to reboot and that's all. No ...

To configure my printer as a network printer (attached by USB to a WLAN-router) the Puppy onboard-tools didn't solve my problem. I used the system config printer tools instead.
