pytivo - this looks promising. Basically does what tivo.net does. You need to install python, the program and ffmpeg. I got it running under Windows but there's an installer for that; under Linux looks like you have to do some compiling from source etc. so I'll give it a go next weekend. Get the go...

actually my problem was a complete lack of linux command knoledge.. I Got it figured out about an hour ago so its online, So now I have other things I am trying to figure out.
