current version is a bit big and still doesn't have splashy installed yet.

ok i found a pet for splashy and manually configured it. it works pretty good. i would suggest that splashy is probably the system to use if others are looking for a splash screen for puppy.

I was hoping for a simple .pet lol i've become a little leery of modifying system files based on instructions after my attempt at adding ...

hey guys. I am just wondering. is there a way to set up a splash screen in puppy (i'm using 4.2.1 at the moment b.t.w) I'm not talking about a grub splash but an actual linux splash during boot.

Streamtuner shoutcast seems to be down "again". Don't know if anyone is aware of this yet.

Hey tempestuous and jrb. could you please get together and compile the broadcom wl driver for puppy 4.2.1 and possibly post an .iso I would use the Puppy 4.3.1 iso jrb produced with tempestuous wl driver but it seems to have issues. 421 works a bit better on my system.

I finally got around to testing Lucid Puppy. Everything installed fine. then moved onto updating petget, works pretty well. Then I attempted to install Gnome Desktop from the Ubuntu Repo's, Major Issues. everything seems to install,except the required xkb package which fails every time.

xscreensaver 5.07 is missing alot of screensavers. I got a couple of them out of PuppyBasicScreensaver02, but there are still alot of them missing. I am not sure why that is though. version 5.11 has them all. other then that there isn't any real reason its just that the full current version would be ...

thanks rjbrewer. I found a different psx emulator that works for puppy 4.3.1. so I solved the issue without having to get someone to port psx , though i do like psx -- pcsx from puppy arcade works well enough. I will have to post the links to pcsx to games so that it can be found easier.

well #$!@ that just sux. though i was looking for instructions as to how to apply this patch to 4.2.1 not just install a pet. i figured that if you just delete the b43 and b43legacy copy wl into puppy and overwrite ssb.ko it would be possible to do the same with 4.2.1

haven't been to apple. not sure that they post the extra's list just the main os programs like calculator and such, but i will look. Originally i had thought to post on the main wp post, but decided to post here to show it first.
