Actually, that got me way in over my head. It seems dpup is not for me, but thanks anyway. I should have known not to explore further when I had to look up wget and figure out what the heck it was (I still don't know) in order to download the iso. I'll do without aegisub if it means I don't ever hav...

[REQUEST] Aegisub: plz2petify
I have come to appeal to the better nature of my fellow puppy users. I would really like to be able to use Aegisub on my computer. I have seen one post regarding this app on the puppy forums, and it was someone trying to compile it. To be perfectly honest, I have no business compiling anything, so t...

Does anyone take requests for .pets?
Hello. First off, I'm in love with Puppy. For many reasons, but primarily because most of the time, it just works. And even when I get froggy and break it, it is incredibly easy to start over and still save my stuff. Second, while I am not entirely new to Linux, I am decidedly an end-user. I like my...

Re: Taskbar Woes
Edited because I fixed it.
Not exactly sure how I fixed it, but thankful to have done so. Involved a lot of reboots, changing IceWM pref file, and many, many more reboots.
Works now.
Thanks for your assistance.

Taskbar Woes
First, I must say, this is a gorgeous puppy. Wow! I have two teensy-tiny problems, both related to the same issue. 1) In JWM, I cannot move the tray to the top. I get this error: Change Reversed New config corrupt. Keeping original 2) I have installed IceWM (which I was using in 4.21 and completely ...

request: spellchecker widget
I edit a great deal of text in Geany, and one the main reasons I use it is the lack of interference as I write. But I am human, and as such, I often keep an empty AbiWord window open in order to check the spelling of words I am unsure of. It would be beyond awesome to have some sort of dictionary/th...

Thank you!
I was looking for fontforge (I had used it with good results prior to leaving Windoze). Lo and behold, I found it -- all ready-made in a nice little pet.
Thank you so much!
These forums have been invaluable in my transition to Linux and to Puppy.

About a month ago, I amputated Windoze and started using openSuSE on my old laptop (acerTM2420, 256mb RAM, 1.5 GHz Intel, ~35GB HD, came with XP-sp1). It worked, after a great deal of stripping and streamlining, but was painfully slow. When I queried their forums, it was suggested I try the Puppy or...
