well I have no idea about the technicalities , loop mounted , frugal etc. but the end result is the same. A clean linux dualboot without touching my fragile mbr.

Is there a way to install puppy linux without modifying the MBR or creating partitions ?
Basically I want to install a linux distro (any distro, except ubuntu) without creating any partitions or overwriting the MBR. Just modify boot.ini to load puppy
