RC8 seems to be working fantastic so far. Panning is excellent! Only thing wrong I found is You2pup not working anymore which is a bit sad as I use it a lot :-( I tried older versions but they also fail, which makes me think it is somewhere in the preconditions rather than the script itself. Scipt c...
Hi All, RC5 running just fine. Except drive_all (or if you click mount from the desktop). It complains: yaf-splash: /lib/libuuid.so.1: no version information available (required by /usr/X11R7/lib/libSM.so.6) FINDFLOPPY /usr/sbin/pmount: line 292: 9720 Terminated yaf-splash -font "8x16" -ou...
Hi All, I used to be able to overclock and underclock my 701 (Celeron) by using /usr/local/cpu-freq/cpu_freq and then loading the p4_clockmod module in the UI followed by (in a shell) cpufreq-set 600Mhz or cpufreq-set 112500Khz Especially the last one (underclocking I liked because it saves battery ...
Hi Jemimah, I switched to FLWM and can now indeed edit the Chrome settings page again. Great! But FLWM seems to have a problem in full screen mode (DOSBOX VGA and maybe even QVGA resolutions) One other question I have is, how can I use a bigger resolution to my external screen. So far Puppee wants t...
Hi Jemimah, Running Beta 4.2 for a while now. Great piece of work! Super stable and reliable. No issues so far except: - You2pup not working anymore. Probably cannot locate youtube file. - Chrome settings page is messed up on my 701. I'd like to set the download directory, cannot see where to do tha...
Just to let you know that beta 4.1 is still working perfectly for me!!!! In order to enjoy the max out of hibernation I changed the following: 1) changed /etc/acpi/events/sleep to call hibernation.sh instead of sleep.sh Now I can suspend/hibernate to swap via Fn+F1 I can still suspend to RAM by just...
DMESG output is attached (it's a txt file!!). Changing the BOOTCONFIG doesn't work as it gest overwritten again on next boot. I also did an filesystem check, also all ok. So I guess there's something wrong with the check that is done in order to determine whether the layered fs needs updating or not.
Hi Jemimah, The problem with the always "updating laytered filesystem... next boot will be faster" is 100% reproducible. I simply removed the save file (when it was not in use) and created a new one. No playing with hibernation or whatever inbetween, simply reboot, reboot, reboot, reboot i...
Hi Jemimah, It's a new save file, already having the right extension .4fs. In the meantime I moved all 2fs files from OpenOffice etc out of the way and still the problem remains. What I will do next is, simply remove the save file and create a new one, see whether it is reproducible... Regards, Zico...
Hi Jemimah, I'm testing with the 4.1 Beta release. Hibernation to RAM and to DISK (/dev/sda2) seem to work just fine!! Which is great!! Save file also seems to work so far. Nevertheless the system keeps on telling me: - "updating layered filesystem" upon each and every boot. - after bootup...
