Hi Guys,
Im playing with Upup Raring 3.8.7 and Im trying to install gnome-shell using PPM. Seems to download all needed dependencies and all but I cant seem to make it work correctly.
I tried using a simple .xinitrc
exec gnome-session
and another is
exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch --exit ...

Ive used UnetBootin with Puppy in the past in the past...installed using windows installer...for frugal install to a usb UnetBootin is good...
but if you can understand how boot loader works its pretty simple to use Syslinux...I tried using the installer from Slax...modified the ...

out of curiosity and laziness to investigate myself I've got to ask this...
have you notice during boot up the message:
copying pup-431.sfs to RAM...
....
....
loading swap at sda1...
....
....
or something like that.....
does this mean that the pup-431.sfs is copied in the RAM ...
