i feel a lot better about
'abandoning the good ship, vivaldi'
when i see that list of requisites
ending, it still will not work.
i used vivaldi a few years ago,
can't recall whether linux or windblows,
excellent browser but another suited me better.
i'll craft ...

vivaldi 32-bit won't start
hi folks,
thanks for the link to vivaldi 32-bit, mike.
seems to install okay, i click on 'launcher' icon,
nothing. in terminal i enter 'vivaldi' get:
bash: vivaldi: command not found
running precise puppy 571 from dvd on older tosh laptop.

xvkbd still good to go on precise puppy 2.7.1 in 2019
hi all,
i tried two different on screen keyboards from repostories
without success. would n't start from command line, could
not find dependencies etc.
forum search lead me to xvybd [pet above]
link worked, pet installed, shows in package manager
if uninstall needed...
keyboard link to manual ...

RAM TEST CLAIMS ONE CASUALTY, oops
i mean the connection tool at the bottom of the list.
below dougal's/sns.
right click on connect icon,
click 'execute Internet Connection Wizard'
page with list appears.
internet connection took 2 slow tries to establish,
sluggish while on internet
connection settings not saved on shutdown ...

in win7, base system on this machine which i used
to test the xerus download:

acpitool -s (sleep) stops working after several months
hello,
for several months, 'acpitool -s' entered in console
has worked fine to put precise puppy 5.7.1 to sleep.
but the last two days it has woken back up immediately
without any action on my part. pressing the power button
is how it wakes usually.
precise pup is running off a multisession dvd-rw ...
