Actually they're using Chromium
Saw it on Infoworld that the Opera Beta was out. Is anyone testing it? They took out their mail part to be separate, but they didn't mention their Torrent tracker, or other items yet.

Debian 7.0.0 on my Dual-Slot1 P3
I even have some adapter cables to try that will let me use a SCSI-2 hard drives on USB. If I have a motherboard, in fact, I think I have two with SCSI built onto the motherboard, I'll use the hard drives or CD-RW drives that I have, too. I thought one reason Puppy came into being was to use old har...

MintPPC installed via netboot on spare hard drive...
I tried Debian 6.04 PPC net install, but reboot failed to bring up start button bar. Daily Lubuntu 12.04 failed to even get that far, but MintPPC worked, but online video is so slow. I think this needs more work with Apple dumping support for all these 16-bit Macs.

Great job Barry and everyone!!
I also let the Distrowatch Monday readers know it, too. I couldn't believe my prayers were finally answered and I didn't have to use the command line either. It saw the sick hard drive, offered to repair, let me know to wait until the SATA hard drive was ready. I mounted to see if any icons in the /...

Is it possible to repair my Ubuntu 10.10 with Puppy LuPu?
I was able to mount the sick hard drive using LuPu 511, now I'll try LuPu 525, too. I was able to see some of the icons in the /sbin directory had icons that looked like puzzle pieces with the green reload symbol on them. Others looked the same, but had the short-cut arrow, too. Should I try a repai...

Here is my Grub List...Please help me with it
Sorry to keep you waiting, but I had to sleep, work and eat. See attached, Joan in Reno # GRUB configuration file '/boot/grub/menu.lst'. # generated by 'grubconfig'. Mon Oct 4 03:14:46 2010 # # The backup copy of the MBR for drive '/dev/sda' is # here '/boot/grub/mbr.sda.981'. You can restore it lik...

Well I found the Grub Menu List and copy/pasted it
What I forgot I had to do was issue commands to try to troubleshoot one Puppy with another. It's way more complex than the old Puppy 1X days when I put it on a ZIP drive to boot off one attached to the USB. Maybe I better print out that Puppy Book...has much changed fundamentally? I got further with...

GRUB install error 15 with LuMa-002
I had this Dell PowerEdge 1300 Dual-Slot1 P3 running at 800 MHz with Ubuntu 10.10 LXDE, but switched out the hard drive and video card, since it was still slow with only 512 MB RAM, two of the RAM clips broke off. I'm booting again with the LuMa CD to see if I can figure it out...Why did it auto-mou...

I was able to install EcoPuppy 0.7.3.2-Beta
Hello, Perhaps they use a different version of Grub? I know I never saw a boot screen that didn't list what Linux it was booting before. Now to find some of those games that I liked on the Legacy CD. Sometimes I wish I could just copy them off of the other Pupplet CDs. Yes, I plan to test more of my...

Where's the VGA needs of Legacy?
Well first the 1 GB on-board VGA wouldn't let the computer start, so I tried one PCI VGA card that I think only has 2 GB. It worked with VESA, but no way to read a PDF file clearly or play Shisen. I tried to install, but unlike TeenPup 2009, it didn't create a \Boot directory or boot the computer, a...

PowerPC Live CD...ARM for Puppy too?
I was looking on Distrowatch's links for floppy based or smaller distros for someone who had a question in this DW's Monday Newsletter replies...Anyway when I got to ttyLinux and saw it has an ARM and PPC version, I thought of all those G3 and G4 PowerPC laptops out there. True it's a far cry from P...

Puppy LOGO on the cover of August 2010 Full Circle Magazine
Maybe this means Full Circle considers LuPu 5.01 a real Ubuntu recognized take-off or something. Maybe the article was in the last issue to explain it? However it happens, it's good news for most Puppy and Ubuntu users. I look forward to more Puppy Ubuntu articles from users, too. Congratulations, J...

Great Puppy Live CD for hardware testing!
Great work with Ecopup, it saw the SCSI drives like Puppy upup-463 scsi did, also Ubuntu 10.10, Mint 9 LXDE and OpenSuse 11.3, but it also saw the IDE hard drive on this old Dell PowerEdge 1300/800 with 512 ECC RAM. I was happily surprised, I had not taken the drive cage out yet. I bought it for $5....

Change size and color of mouse pointer?
Hello Puppy Devs and all, I'm sure I'm not the only one who searches for their mouse on screen sometimes, and I remember being allowed to change the size and the color of the pointer in Xandros Linux. So could there be a way to do this from the Live CD? In Puppy 4.3.1, I had visions of being on Wind...
