I am running Slacko64 6.9.6.7 with JWM v2.3.2 frugally installed on HD partition. I have edited sub menus and left with no entry under the main "Personal" category. I would prefer to delete the main menu "Personal" all together. Editing the ~/.jwmrc and .jwmrc-previous files do n...

Makes no sense in your script and may produce unexpected results. You should remove it. Your script should still work without it.

Re: jhead: need a proper script (SOLVED)

I guess that the '*' in *.jpg is the problem. Your script will search for the jpg files in the same directory where your script is located. If you saved your script to /usr/bin then it will try to rename /usr/bin/*.jpg  I suggest that you pass the jpg directory to your script and then either c...

If you are using a save folder . What are you really saving by moving stuff into /mnt/home? The partition that Puppy is installed on is /mnt/home . A save folder just expands and contracts, as to what space it is using, as you add or delete stuff. A save folder has no set size . A save folder just ...

Basically stuff that operates pretty much on its own.

/usr is much trickier. Better not to mess with it unless you have to.

/usr, /opt taking lots of save folder space..

I run BionicPup64, 8.0 installed to HD partition(frugal). When I look at the save folder in GDM (1.38G), large block of space (615M) is taken up by /usr (as pictured). This is after slimming it down by moving the ~/.cache, ~/Downloads, and ~/.thumbnails folders to /mnt/home/ and linking back to /roo...

Also, one last try, though not sure if BionicPup has following commands (I don't have BionicPup installed). Try: udevadm trigger --action=add --type=devices Above is definitely just a last thought which is unlikely to succeed. Sound like your hardware isn't itself being detected unless the SD card ...

Hello gychang. Obviously modules are not loaded on boot. I suggest to do some research on what differs when booting with and without inserted sd-card. Therefor you should start your pc with inserted card, execute lsmod > sd-inserted file sd-inserted should be in /root/ - copy to save place. Reboot ...
