Thanks glassparrot, Puppy may need a good .pet catalog containing .pet info and archives. Concerning this need, I was about to create one. However, in the near future Puppy will be able to install any kind of package. The catalog of .pet will then be obsoleted.

no, you can't use MU's method in full installation.

However, the problem occurs in both frugal and full installation. The best way is to write a script to restart your computer as I did.

Thanks Lobster, however the current version of the watchdog is Debian based and the Puppy version is not available anymore. I need to use Puppy because I'm more familiar with the P applications and my system is highly relied on the pet packages (such as x11vnc and rdesktop). Apart of these Puppy is ...

only the 0.8.6 versions work...might be relevent...also some compiles may not have streaming enabled. I tested the ttuxxx's VLC last night but it didn't work properly. To do looping, just simply follow these 2 steps 1. Create a relative link of the folder inside itself. For example, if the folder is named "pics", you need to create a relative link of the "pics" folder inside itself. Therefore, when you click on the "pics" folder, you ...

How can I stream a webcam over the network? [solved]

VLC has a function called "Capture from device" which can capture video from a webcam and send over a network. At first I plan to use VLC to send out a live video but I gave up because VLC doesn't work properly in Puppy. I'm now trying to look for alternatives. Puppy 4.3.1 has Pstreamvid t...

Puppy Linux is broken when power down

For those who want to see how does it look like, try pressing the reset button on your machine. When the blue screen comes up, Press Enter to Ignore the problem. After that the desktop will reappear as if the problem was fixed, but it didn't. Wait for 1 minute and reboot your machine by pressing the...

OK, the x11vnc on the remastered CD won't allow the viewer to connect to the server. Apart from this, everything looks normal so I don't know where to look at. I tried changing the vnc port to 5900 by using the command "x11vnc -rfbport 5900" but it doesn't solve the problem. It works only ...

I've just ordered it from ebay!! just before visiting my thread.

Many thanks to those who offer me the RAMs, I'm really appreciated.

With more ram (128 MB), my P100 would be perfect to be a remote desktop client :D
