Gxine crashing Firefox in pup 400 Dingo
For a while, not long, Firefox was asking what to use. It doesn't ask anymore. Since I installed mplayer it will sometimes start, usually for .asx (Windoze) streams.

My computer tells me it's 4:30p, Google tells me it's 5:30a
Am I the only one who uses Puppy (v2.16) and Google? I use "Desktop->Set timezone" and "Set time and date" and the on-screen clock has the correct time. As I said, Google tells me I am 13 hours later than what my Puppy thinks the time is. This Forum tells me it is an hour sooner ...

First: Muppy is really great! I fell in love all over again. Next: A few details. Downloaded 008, burnt to CD, booted, made Muppy flash boot. Then I copied a dev_save 3fs file to the stick from a Puppy 2.0.1 I have been using for about a year and a half. Most, almost all, of my installed pups came a...

Where have all the icons gone?
I used to go to /root/my-roxapps after installing a dot.tar.gaz or dot.pup file to get the icon for the desktop shortcut, or perhaps /usr/share/icons. But with 2.14 all the icons look the same when viewed in roxy. What happened? Where to get icons now?

How to make usb-ohci driver load at boot?
I'll try a different question.

No driver for Verizon AirPrime 5220 wifi card in 2.14?
I have been using the Verizon Wireless AirPrime 5220 1xEV-DO PC Card with Puppy 2.0.1 since last summer (about August I think) and it's great. BUT it doesn't work with any Puppy version after that. What is lacking is the usb-ohci driver module. When I try to load it manually using modprobe the modul...

Multi DVD not bootable
BarryK & Flash, a big thank you. I indeed tried ignoring the last track, and the last two, but the problem is track 1 having a corrupted file. I won't have time to work on it today -- I'm out of town for a wedding. Hopefully I will have time tomorrow to study Flash's message (I am about to be la...

How to repair 2.01 Multi DVD gone bad?
Please, I have looked all over this forum for a couple of months only to find nothing about DVDs developing an unreadable file/track. Two nights ago I turned off my Seamonkey 2.01 Multisession machine and it refuses to boot since then. The DVD was getting full, around 90 tracks, and it saved and shu...

Ted Dog, last Christmas you started this with a list of dd command lines to back up various parts of hard drives to <image>.raw. The next day you posted excellent advice on how to back up /root to CD/DVD-RW that wouldbe in the drive if you booted a multi-session DVD. growisofs -M /dev/dvd -D -J -R -...
