I am on a fast 4GH system, 16gb of memory. Please let everyone know that load time of the CD iso can be very long, be patient. It might by my system but the average boot up with the CD is over five minutes to a desktop.
Booting after Installing to a 8gb stick, was very fast.

Why would you use a pet file in Fatdog64-710? Fatdog uses .txz packages. All you have to do is right click on the package and install it
There is a menu entry under Utilities.

For the novice of the world and group.
I am using fatdog64-710, put both the pet and the Txz on a stick.
Inserted stick into the computer with Fatdog clicked on, asked to extract txz file. OK, created files on the stick. Guess wrong location.

I have fixed it.
/etc/init.d/11alsa_raspi gets called at every bootup by /etc/rc.d/rc.services (which gets called by /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit).
11alsa_raspi runs this:
amixer cset numid=3 1
...where the last parameter is 0=auto, 1=analog, 2=hdmi
I don't know why, but 11alsa-raspi is running too soon ...

Aargh! That's one thing I didn't check. Will take a look at it. I'm going to be p**sed off if sound is broken on my new kernel!
Reloaded the ssd with .2,
Performed set up, speaker barked on HDMI
Ran the two video's.
REBOOTED
No longer any sound.
Alsa wizard the same results. Nothing ...

Built new SD card
Set up - changed to HDMI output for sound
Ran two files from memory stick, sound and video worked. (did not reboot before update)
Down loaded update to .3, all seemed to work, told me to reboot.
After reboot, Video works.
NO SOUND,
Running wizard for ALSA does not effect ...

I was running from the CD. Booted OK to the iBM laptop, not to a desktop on a sata DVD nor on a Dell laptop.

I am sure you know 11.0 will not boot on a newer machine without a IDE drive. attached file of the screen.

Hummm, problem seems to be on front port USB. Fails, yet I was able to install the OS, but could not get gParted to run right to set boot. Test again tonight, same. Test OK on a different system.
Next try: Test plugged into back-plane - MB, no problem.
